There was a man named Juan. Everyday, he works in a meat distribution factory. One day, he went to the meat cooler to check something. Unfortunately, bad luck happened, the door of the room was closed automatically, and he was locked in it without anyone looking.
Juan tried to bang on the door and pull it with all his might, but he did not succeed. The door can only be opened from the outside. Juan's condition got worse, because the meat cooler room was airtight and soundproofed, so the outside was impossible to hear the screams from inside the room.
Five hours later, when Juan was on the brink of death due to the cold, when almost all the employees had gone home, suddenly someone opened the warehouse door.
Juan was surprised. Full of gratitude, God sends a savior to him. The man came in and approached, apparently the rescuer was Stanley, the factory security guard who used to watch in front of the fence.
After coming out of the gripping room, Juan asked the security guard to tell him how he could open the door of the meat cooler room, because the work was not part of his work routine.
Stanley, the security guard explained:
"Here you are, in this factory there are hundreds of workers coming and going every day, but you are one of the few employees who always greet me in the morning and say 'see you tomorrow' to me every afternoon when leaving here after work hours.
Many treat me as if I am invisible. Today, as usual, you greet me when I get to work. But after the end of work, I have not heard you say the word 'goodbye till see you tomorrow'.
Therefore I decided to check around the factory.
I still hope to hear the words 'Hey' and 'Bye' from you every day. Since I did not hear the word 'goodbye' from you, I suspect something must have happened. Then, I try to find and finally find you! ".
Juan was flabbergasted, it was the little friendship he spoke every day, that was what saved him! True as people say: 'a simple hello could lead to million things'.
A greeting, indeed something simple. But it has a profound meaning. In the teachings of religion, this is one form of greeting that the Prophet advised.
Therefore, remember the words of Michael Sendow:
"Be loving, be merciful to smile, and greet those who say hello to us ..."
"Be loving, be merciful to smile, and greet those who say hello to us ..."
